When Anthropologie sought to launch its first major foray into weather-resistant outdoor furniture, they turned to Selamat Designs for their unparalleled expertise in natural and outdoor materials. The resulting collaboration was a comprehensive outdoor living collection that perfectly captured Anthropologie's signature vintage-inspired, globally curated aesthetic. Justin and the Selamat product development team designed approximately half of the extensive collection in-house, while collaborating closely with renowned designer Tracey Boyd to engineer and execute the remaining pieces.
The collection prominently featured durable yet elegant materials, utilizing woven synthetic rattan, performance fabrics, and powder-coated metal to ensure longevity without sacrificing style. Drawing heavy inspiration from the New Bohemian movement, the designs incorporated striking tribal shapes, intricate woven patterns, and relaxed, coastal silhouettes. From whimsical rattan bistro sets to statement-making lounge chairs, the team successfully translated Anthropologie's beloved indoor bohemian paradise into a functional, weather-ready collection that allowed customers to bring their eclectic style to patios and gardens.
