Museums of New mexico x Selamat Designs Collection
Selamat partnered with Museums of New Mexico on a Furniture, Lighting and Accessories capsule. Inspiration came from New Mexico’s rich tradition of design craft and the Decorative Arts collections housed at The Museum of International Folk Art and The Museum of Indian Arts and Culture. Our team combed the Museums collection achieve for inspiration and designed this capsule to respect the tradition of folk art and Indigenous Art from around the world. Designs went through a council consisting of indigenous people representing their culture to ensure there was no cultural appropriation. A percentage of proceeds from Crossroads goes back to support educational programs and future exhibitions of these vital cultural institutions.
